You don't need to be home for the installation itself, but I do like to do a quick walkthrough with you before we start and after we finish. Most customers are at work during the job — that's completely fine.

It depends on the size, pitch, and materials. The best way to get a real number is a free inspection — I'll walk the roof and give you an honest assessment with no pressure. For insurance claims, your out of pocket is typically just your deductible.
